Nostalgia #18: Our trip to Erie, PA to see “TALL SHIPS”

Last Sunday, we went to Erie, PA to see the parade of Tall ships. I saw three tall ships with Classic work of art. I thought I would only see such ships in movies or crafted inside bottles. The one we’ve seen close up is “The Bounty”. I only saw the Flagship Niagara and Lynx with their beautiful sails as they were sailing from far sight. It was fascinating to know one of America’s History and these Classic ships.

How many Swagbucks do you have?

A while ago, I was checking how many swag bucks I got. I had accumulated 4,759 points in my swagbucks account.

I thought of redeeming them into gift card prizes so I can have Christmas shopping before December. I will share my step by step prior redeeming my prizes. Here are the prizes I’m eyeing in their Swagstore:

Anyway, this is what my swidget shows lately after I’m snagging the prizes: if (WIDGETBOX) WIDGETBOX.renderWidget(’5ac27152-25c4-4315-8d75-16a31b5f2ad8′);Get the Swidget 1.0 widget and many… read more »

Girl’s Talk: My Green Moments

I am not into green colored stuff that much. Green is not my favorite color. Though the color itself symbolizes HOPE. The picture you see above was taken last November when my group in MOPS decided that we all have to wear green in one meeting. We were making memory boards at that time too. I’m the obvious Asian girl on the left. The 2 seconds movie below is one of my favorite green games, the mini-Golf or Putt putt.… read more »

WW: Quench my thirst

I took these photos last Saturday. There was a grotto of our Lady of Lourdes in the Holy Redeemer church which is a couple of blocks away from our house. There was an artificial stream in it. Our Lady of Lourdes apparition was in a cave and has a stream that works miracles to many who have witnessed that it heals illnesses and other sickness.

My close up experience with a Tall ship named “The Bounty”

We had a surprise visit to Erie, PA two days ago. When my brother in law told us after mass that the tall ships were going to show up in Erie, I got curious and I beamed excitedly to my husband. I haven’t seen ships around Pennsylvania. I thought Lake Erie is a small lake and no connections to the oceans, but I was wrong.

The area in the picture shows the back of the famous Erie Museum. It is… read more »

Our memorable family bonding

“Family, what more can I ask for?” Here goes my Mommy journaling. Last Saturday, we had a family picnic in our local park. It was a simple one and it was our first time to have it for just the three of us, no friends and relatives. I thought of myself that it will be a good quality time to spend together, with my husband and George. I’m glad that we did it and what’s more happiness I felt inside my… read more »
