Fifteenth day in Syracuse

July 19, 2011

I was able to feed baby Vince in a row starting 3:00 PM yesterday to 3:00PM today. That is equal to 9 feedings in a row. Nurse praised me for a job well done and that I was strong to feed him that long time in the hospital. I said, I did it because it is necessary and if only we are at home, it would have been easier. But then he has to be monitored with… read more »

Fourteenth day in Syracuse

July  18 , 2011

My plan pushed through that I will stay one night in the hospital to feed baby Vince in multiple feedings in a row. We went there around 2:00 PM so I could get in to the NICU and start the first feeding of the day. But the Doctor came in and he asked if we are planning to circumcise Vince. Thirteenth day in Syracuse

June 17, 2011

It was a little bit hard to stay in the hospital as they have limited times to have babies visited in the NICU. I asked the nurse how can I possibly feed my baby in multiple feedings in a… read more »

Been doing it to baby Vince after 4 days I was discharged in the hospital in June 10th, 2011. It took me a while to produce milk too. Hubby and I spent our last time visiting and holding Vince at… read more »

Eleventh day in Syracuse

June 15, 2011

Got an update from the nurse that baby Vince hasn’t passed blood in his bowel. That is something good news. I asked the Doctor what caused such bleeding and she said its not something caused internally according to his xray result. It may probably because there are some minor tears near his external anus which is normal for preemies. I continued breastfeeding him in the hope it would help him boost up his immune system and mature… read more »
