Free Flowers From Warren Farmers Market
I feel flattered to have received this beautiful bunch of flowers for free from one of the lovely ladies who handed them to me at Warren Farmers Market. My family roamed around our local library’s parking lot where the Farmers Market was held and we saw what the local businesses in our area were selling. I bought a 1 pound beeswax for $4 which if you buy them in other stores it would be around $10 to $20. This kind of wax is one important ingredient when making traditional pysanky (See my previous posts about how I make them). My husband bought a bag of Gala apples for $6. Other interesting stuff on display were mums for $6, pumpkins for $2, corn stalks for $5 a bunch, fresh picked grapes, beans and other vegetables and fruits grown locally. How about you, do you support your local products?
