This is our second time to harvest corn at my Mom in law’s garden. We are so happy to see the fruits of our labor after we helped her plant them in the Spring. There are some minor imperfections but it still taste really good! My brother in law said some parts of the corn got flattened by a strong wind. Maybe that is why they are very short and bulky.

My kids and I enjoyed picking tomatoes in our garden the other day. I’m so happy that the Roma tomatoes has finally turned red. I was worried because the plants has turned brown even though we water them. This is my first time to grow tomatoes and it must be that when they mature, the whole plant turns brownish?

We went on a trip one Sunday when my husband summoned me to practice driving from our place to Tidioute, PA. It was a 45 minutes trip. Stressful because it was a two lane with lots of winding road and at 35 to 55 mph. I’m glad the kids were sleeping and we got to the Overlook where he wants me and the kids to see.

My family and I had lots of fun when we watched the circus performance by Kelly Miller Circus. It just brought back good old childhood memories in me. I am glad my kids enjoyed the show as much as we do. They are a group of American and International Circus Performers. Our local Fire Department sponsored them to come in our area this year.

I am excited to share with you folks this homegrown tomatoes I have been picking in my garden. I have shared in the past about my seedling shopping at the Amish Greenhouse. One of the plants I bought from them is a small tray of 6 cherry tomato and 6 roma tomato seedlings.
