My Blog’s New Pink Looks & My Thrift Dresses

Hi folks! How do you find my blog’s new pink looks? I just tweaked the CSS here and there and made the banner and background using Photoshop. Some of the banner graphics I bought from Shutterstock and Depositphotos online. I really liked shopping graphic arts there as they offer the .eps files where you can customize them in Adobe Illustrator and convert them to .psd to open it in Photoshop. The reason why I do this is that Illustrator can’t… read more »

Our Hearts Day 2012

I realized I haven’t written an update in this blog about how our Valentines day went a month ago. It should appear under the “My Family Memoir Update” in this blog’s sidebar. Oh dear me. So much stuff going on to our life offline and on this blog, and it’s sometimes hard to keep up posting with my family’s updates here. About our Valentines day, we celebrated it in a simple manner. I just told my husband that my heart… read more »

Hello Kitty Pinks

This is one of my additions to my Hello Kitty collection, a bonnet hat and gloves. I found it in the teen age section in Walmart. I grabbed it because its so cute! My husband said I will probably look like a toddler if I wear them. I tried the hat and it fits just right to my small head and I thought the gloves will be too small but it’s stretchable and it fits perfect to my little hands.… read more »

Philadelphia Candies, Disney Tangled Review, Pink Fridays and Pink Saturdays

I’ll start a short review in this post about the Disney Tangled Movie. Well, Guess what, I have watched the movie a hundred times already. Addict? Oh yeah! I just can’t get enough of the humor, the mood of the lead speaking and non-speaking characters, and the motherly sarcasm of a possessive character. I thought it would be over reacting to make a modern version of the old Rapunzel fairy tale but this one really rocks. Too bad I didn’t see it in… read more »

Birthday Gifts from Friends

Hi folks! We finally got back home from our short family travel. We checked out from the hotel around 12 noon and we got back home around 9:30 PM. That was a long travel we had in the road with two kids. I am glad Mr. G, Mr. V and I were finally done with the flu before that trip. It reduced our being cranky. We had a few stops on the way like we visited the Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, New York aside from Michaels, restaurants and rest stops. While on the road, we saw colorful fall trees and lots of beautiful Victorian ornate buildings in Geneva and Seneca, New York, where the Famous Finger lakes were located. So much for the amusement and pictures which I will share in the next days, I want to let you know that I’m a quarter of a century old in the next 4 days. Oh yeah! I am surprised of these two packages in our mailbox this morning, an inspirational book and birthday card  from a sweet blogging friend Rose of Obstacles and Glories, and a 2012 cats calendar from Lora who is a fellow member in Swapbot online. I appreciate your lovely birthday gifts! Thanks so much ladies!
